Restorations

We can restore anything from your VW Beetle, camper van, Hot Rod, motor bike or Aston Martin etc. Whether you want a re-spray on your daily driver or a full body off show condition restoration, the same amount of care is taken to make sure you are getting the best value money can buy.

Most full restorations will be done with the body off the chassis if possible and the car fully stripped, this gives full access to the chassis and all areas so we are able to get rid of any rot hiding where you normally wouldn’t see it, eating away at your vehicle from the inside out. This also makes it possible to replace panels the way it was put together at the factory and do the job properly.

All rust is either media blasted back to bare metal or cut out and new panels welded in, always using genuine panels where available.

Body shells and chassis can either be media blasted back to bare metal, or Acid dipped and then when all metal work is completed, re-dipped in anti corrosive primer. This is the best you can get when it comes to restoration to preserve your vehicle for years to come. Please phone for prices.

Mechanicals

Full restoration of the mechanicals can also be undertaken.

For example the chassis can either be restored to stock condition for a daily driver, powder coated for a harder wearing finish or for custom looks, or given the full custom detailing job for the show car where the chassis may be on show. This also counts for steering and suspension components, brakes etc.

Brakes can either be serviced and rebuilt, fitted with after market front and rear disc brake conversions, or upgraded to big brake conversions with ulti pot callipers

Engine

Anything can be done just phone to discus your requirements.

For VW air-cooled race engines we have contacts in the UK and America  that can supply turn key engines to your spec, or tell us what you want to get out of your car and we will get a suitable engine built up for you. These engines can come fully dyno’d and run in with a print out of the power. Fully guaranteed.

For something not so crazy we can either get your engine rebuilt or supply a  new engine, fitted with either your original tin ware or brand new tin ware painted or powder coated. A full service, fitted and ready to drive away.

On the other hand, for something a bit different why not go for an engine conversion?
Engines that can be fitted to VW’s are Subaru, Mazda rotary, and Porsche. Others can be fitted but these are the most common for conversions. These engines provide modern performance with the reliability of a modern car. As you will have seen my own car used to run a relatively stock Subaru Impreza turbo engine and with Nitrous has a 0-60mph time of just over 3 seconds. When bought second hand, the price of these engines can be very cheap and cost effective when compared to an air cooled engine giving out the same power.

Well worth considering if you want to be that bit different.

Gearbox

All gearbox rebuilds are done by the sponsor of my own car Bears Motorsports.

Gearboxes are custom built to suit the engine you are going to be running. Once built they will be installed by us, and mounted in a way that suits what the car will be used for. This ranges from stock mounts, mid mounts, straps and solid mounting.

No need to worry though we will advise you as to what is best for your needs.

Suspension

We can do anything from supply and fit stock replacement shocks, gas filled adjustable’s, IRS conversions, dropped spindles, narrowed beams for bugs and busses, narrowed rear ends for the pro street look, etc.

We are also a registered fitting centre for AIRKEWLD air suspension systems and other products.

Custom ICE Installations

Fibre glass boot builds, bass boxes, glove box fitted C.D changers, or just a simple swap of a head unit can be done.

We can either design your system for you, supply and fit the parts or you can supply you own system and tell us how you want it.

MSA & FIA Spec Race Cars

We can transform your daily driver in to a 10 second street legal drag racer.

Whether its a Mustang,  bus,  dragster, or a Bug, we can get Roll cages and tube chassis built for us to comply with all current regs, then we build the car around that.
